Isabel was the daughter of George Lawton of Portsmouth, Rhode Island, with an unidentified first wife. Elizabeth Hazard is known to have been a wife of George Lawton, but because Elizabeth's father, Thomas Hazard, was born about 1610 (based on a deposition, cited by Austin in his Genealogical Dictionary of Rhode Island), Elizabeth was likely born no earlier than 1630, and likely later. This would make it highly unlikely for her to be the mother of Isabel who was born about 1643 (based on her age at death).
Isabel was married about 1670 to Samuel Albro, the son of John and Dorothy Albro of Portsmouth. She was buried on 3 April 1730, and because her burial was recorded in the minutes of the St. Paul's Episcopal Church, she was almost certainly buried in the church yard there. Though the church was moved about 1800, the cemetery remains as the Platform Cemetery.
