A retired farmer, he was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include four sons, Frank of Rural Route 5, Connersville, Claude of Rural Route 5, Brookville, Cecil of Rural Route 1, Brookville and Melvin of Lawrenceburg; three daughters, Mrs. Lee Records of Lawrenceburg, Mrs. Jesse Sellers of Rural Route 4, Liberty and Mrs. Russell Archer of Connersville; a sister, Mrs. Martha Gabbard of Connersville and a brother, George of Clay County, Kentucky and 17 grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mr. Allen were held at the Clevenger Funeral Home Monday with burial in Maple Grove Cemetery.
