"John Alcorn, son of John and Mary Alcorn, was born April 3, 1856, at Harrisburg, Pa., and when quite young moved with his parents to Polo. About 12 years ago he was taken to the state hospital at Kankakee where he passed away Nov. 24. One sister, Mrs. Lucy Alcorn Riggs and one brother, Robert of Harrisburg, Pa., survive. Burial took place at West Pullman, Ill.
