She graduated from Arkadelphia High School in 1942. In 1945, she met and married Vernon Duke, and they lived in the Hollywood Community for many years before later moving to Arkadelphia.
She was a member of St Andrew United Methodist Church. She had a beautiful soprano voice and was a member of the church choir all of her adult life.
She was a member of the Philharmonic Club and also enjoyed being a member of the “Red Hat Society.” She will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who always put her family first.
She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Bell and her husband Carroll of Hollywood; her son, Steve Duke and his wife Cindy of Gurdon; three grandchildren, Trey Bell (Amy) of Harrison, Elizabeth Hill (Kurt) of Arkadelphia and Carolanne Pinegar (Zack) of Nashville; and six great-grandchildren, Clifton Bell, Zane, Ben and Tommy Hill and Georgia and Behrett Pinegar.
She is also survived by one sister, Jeanie Taylor of Prescott; one sister-in-law, Betty Duke of Arkadelphia; and numerous nieces and nephews.
