Dallas Edward Noel was born April 28, 1873, in the Ligonier valley, Westmoreland county, Pa., a son of William (Billie) M. and Catharine Noel.

Dallas attended the common schools of Westmoreland County. "He left school at the age of 16, and entered into his first regular employment as pavement cutter, and subsequently learned the machinists' trade, at which he worked for three years. He then entered the employ of the Pennsylvania Railroad Company as a fireman, working in this capacity for three years and eight months. In July, 1902, he was made an engineer, an occupation which he followed with the greatest success."

Dallas married Susan T. Norris July 3, 1895, and they became the parents of a son and four daughters:
*Roy McKinley Noel, born October 28, 1896
*Mildred Lorene Noel, born February 5, 1898
*Gertrude May (Ann) Noel, born April 5, 1899
*Thelma Liona Noel, born March 13, 1903
*Evelyn Lulu Noel, born April 13, 1906

After the death of his first wife in 1910, Dallas married Sadie Ellen Miller February 7, 1911; and they became the parents of two sons and two daughters:
*Charles Dallas Noel, born Nov. 8, 1911
*Harold Chester Noel, born April 6, 1914
*Bessie Verna Noel, born July 23, 1916
*Ruth Iona Noel, born Feb. 12, 1920

After his retirement from the Pa. Railroad, Dallas moved to Orange county, Florida.

At the age of 77, Dallas E. Noel died August 25, 1950, in Orlando, Florida.

Burial was in Florida.
