Cortez "Sonny" Abbott Jr. Cullman, The graveside service for Cortez "Sonny: Abbott Jr., 66 Vinemont, will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at Mt. Olive Cemetery, with Larry "Bird" Walker officiating.
He died Saturday, July 3, 2010, at Cullman Regional Medical Center.
Moss-Service Funeral Home of Cullman is in charge of arrangements.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Cortez Abbott Sr. and Lucille Knopp, his wife, Dian Abbott, and brother, Gary Wayne Abbott.
He worked as a machinist.
Survivors include a son, Brian Abbott, Vinemont; daughter Pam Lynn, Vinemont; sisters, Geri Wesley, Louisville, Ky., and Jackie Upchurch, Montgomery; two grandson, Joseph Cooper, Eva, and D.J. Lynn, West Point; great-grandson, Eli Cooper, Haleyville; great-grandaughter, Cadance Cooper, Eva.
Pallbearers are Mike Reynolds, Mitchell Reynolds, James Givens, Jerrod Walker, Jerry White, and Chad Givens.
Visitation will be 10 a.m-1:30 p.m. today at Moss-Service Chapel in Cullman.
