Jean Everitt Ross Silvola died in Ocala, Florida, February 29, 2008. Born October 29, 1922, in Albuquerque to Evelyn Everitt Ross and Edmund Ross, both of Albuquerque. Jean attended Albuquerque schools, Sandia Girls School, forerunner to Sandia Academy, and the University of New Mexico. She was also secretary to J. D. Robb, dean of the Fine Arts College of UNM for several years. In 1955 Jean married James Silvola, of Virginia, MN and Colorado Springs, CO and moved to Florida. She is survived by her husband, son, Maj., Ret., Ward R. Silvola; daughters, Terri Silvola-Finch and Kaye Cutlip; five grandsons; and one granddaughter, all of Florida. Also surviving are brother, the Rev. Edmund (Ned) Ross; and sister, Elizabeth Lackmann, both of Albuquerque. Any who remember Jean from her years in Albuquerque, may, if they wish, send a memorial to Druid Hills United Methodist Church, 1712 SE Lake Weir Ave., Ocala, FL 34471.
