Jennie DeMao Landi, 93, of Arnold died Friday (April 5, 2002) at Harmar Village Care Center, Harmar.

Born July 25, 1908, in Johnetta, Armstrong County, she lived in the Valley most of her life.

Mrs. Landi was a member of Mount St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, New Kensington; Columbiana Lodge, Forward America Lodge, and Arnold Volunteer Fireman Department Auxiliary, all of Arnold.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Amelia (Richard) Lednak of Lower Burrell and Mrs. Rosemary (Pete) Caffo of Canandaiquia, N.Y.; two brothers, Mayor William "Willie" DeMao of Arnold and Pete DeMao, also of Arnold; and a sister, Mrs. Marie (Guido) Zullo of New Kensington.

Also surviving are six grandchildren, Jeannine, Melissa and Richard Lednak, and Michelle, Nancy and Mary Caffo; and three great-grandchildren, Richard and Stephanie Lednak and Jenna Dodsworth.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank "Dutch" Landi; her parents, Pietro and Amelia Lessina DeMao; four brothers, Herman, Dom, Arthur and Frank DeMao; and three sisters, Samena Sarne, Vera Zatwarnicki and Mildred Marini.

Friends are being received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in the JOHN F. KRUPA FUNERAL HOME INC., 1000 Freeport Road, New Kensington, where a blessing service will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday. Christian Funeral Mass will follow at 10 a.m. in Mount St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, New Kensington. Burial will be Union Cemetery, Arnold.
