Norma F. Dent, 84, of Fort Collins, Colorado passed away on April 30, 2016 after a brief diagnosis of leukemia. Norma was born on September 6, 1931 in Laramie, Wyoming to Bert and Lala (Mallott) Nauta. Norma was one of three children. Her siblings were Ray Nauta and Gladys Nauta Ellerman.
At the age of three the family moved to Virginia Dale, Colorado, where she was raised on the family ranch. Norma loved horses; she competed as a roper and barrel racer in the rodeo. She also loved being a homemaker, gardening, and quilting. Norma married Robert “Bob” Dent on September 29, 1951 in Fort Collins, Colorado. They have two children.
Norma is survived by her sons, her sister, three grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. She is preceded in death by her husband Bob, Brother Ray, and her parents.
A service will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at the Virginia Dale Cemetery; all are welcome to attend.
