Jean (Ball) Armstrong, a resident of Wynnewood, OK, was born on October 21, 1927 in Abby Hulton, England to Sarah (Cook) and Fredrick Charles David Ball. She passed away at her home west of Wynnewood on May 11, 2016 at the age of 88.

Jean grew up and attended school in England where she graduated with a degree equivalent to that of a high school degree in America. At age 11 she began living through World War II and the German bombing of England. She met her husband T.L. Armstrong while he was in the service during the war and they were married on August 11, 1945 in Stoke-On-Trent, England and they spent their lives together until he preceded her on February 23, 2013. After their marriage she came to America on a ship called the Edwin B. Vance, which was carrying herself and 800 other war brides. She and T.L. spent a short time in other parts of Oklahoma and Texas before moving to Wynnewood where they spent the rest of their life.

Along with her husband those preceding her in death include 3 brothers - Fredrick, Stanley, and Doug Douglas; sister - Evelyn.

She is survived by her daughter - Janet Yvonne Keene and husband Robert of Sulphur; Sons - Thomas John Armstrong and wife Judy of Newalla, OK; Anthony Wayne Armstrong and wife Barbara of Broken Arrow, OK; Terry Gene Armstrong and wife Theresa of Salem, NH; David Michael (Bodie) Armstrong of Wynnewood, OK; 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Services will be held on Saturday 14, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Hillcrest Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Dale Ruggles and Anthony Wayne Armstrong. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery in Wynnewood, OK.
