Georgia was the daughter of Franklin and Eliza Maria (DuBois) Spencer. She moved with her family from Kansas to Faulk County, South Dakota in the 1880s. She married Franklin Isiah Coleman and the following children were born to them: Noma Maud, Frankie Marie, James Paul, Theodore Spencer, David, and Phillip. Husband Franklin died in 1935 and is buried in Faulkton, South Dakota.
