TICONDEROGA, N.Y. - James "Jim" G. Blanchard, 79, of Ticonderoga, passed away suddenly on Saturday, May 7th 2016.

Born on March 25th 1937, in Ticonderoga, N.Y., he was the son of the late James G. Sr. and Dorothy (Trainor) Blanchard.

Mr. Blanchard was a Veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Vietnam War.

He was a resident of Ticonderoga, N.Y. for most of his life and was the manager of E.J. Monroe of Ticonderoga for many years.

Jim was a talented woodworker and clock and jewelry maker.

He was an avid hunter, fisherman and knife collector.

His greatest enjoyment was cooking and entertaining his family and friends.

He was predeceased by his sister, Jane Mason; and his brother, Charles E. Blanchard.

Survivors include his wife of 25 years, four children, four stepchildren, five brothers, three sisters, and many nieces and nephews.
