KEEGO HARBOR, Mich. - Phyllis A. Michelin, 64, of Keego Harbor, Mich., formerly Cheboygan, passed away Friday, March 18, 2005. A resident of Keego Harbor for the past 30 years, Phyllis was born in Aloha Township on April 5, 1940, the daughter of Leo and Mary (Lemon) Pratt. On Aug. 24, 1963 at St. Francis Catholic Church, she married Eugene Michelin. She truly loved her grandchildren and spending time with them, and cooking and baking.
Surviving are her husband Eugene; her children, Brian (Stacy) Michelin of Highland, Mich., Joan (Tim) Rederstorf of West Bloomfield, Mich., and Scott Michelin of Keego Harbor; two sisters, Rosella Smith of Waterford Township, Mich., and Evelyn (Don) Passino of Indian River; two brothers, Kenneth (Genevieve) Pratt and Leonard (Gloria) Pratt of all of Cheboygan; six grandchildren, Allison Michelin, Melonie Rederstorf, Melissa Rederstorf, Cory Michelin, Meagan Rederstorf, and Emily Michelin; a brother-in-law, Clayton Bell of Cheboygan; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Della Bell.
Visitation will take place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, March 21, 2005, at the Christian Funeral Home of Cheboygan. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 22, 2005, also at the funeral home. Interment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in the spring.
