Baptised 5 May 1851 in Nora Bergsförsamling in Örebro county.
Parents are her father, tailor Lars Erik Hellbom (he changed name to Lindeneau for random unknown reasons)
Her mother is Johanna Margreta Andersdotter.
Married August Elias Fredericksson in 1876
They had nine kids, their first child, Linnea Teresia, died between 1876 and 1878.
The second child, Johan Herman died in 1880
The family left from Stockholm in 1881 on the steamboat Marsden and traveled to England, from there they left on the ship called 'state of florida' to New York and arrived on May 11,1882
By 1900 Sophia and her children are listed as living in Chicago and close to her siblings Erik,Beda & Johanna
We don't know what happened to her husband Elias, he does not appear on the 1900 or 1910 census with Sophia.
Sophia raised all seven children by herself, doing ironing and taking in clothes to be mended.
She was known to be quite the seamstress, making clothing for neighbors and friends. Her talent at making clothing was so well known she provided quite a good living for herself and her seven children.
But the hours were long and grueling, letters from old friends show Sophia suffered from aching finger joints.
She was also well known for her candy making abilities, and cooking skills.
