Bonnie and her husband Arlie lived in Hawaii in the 1960s and Keauhou Bay on the big island was their favorite spot of all. Both were cremated on death and their son Keith returned their ashes to Hawaii and hired the Keauhou Canoe Club to take their ashes by outrigger canoe into the bay and spread them at the same time and together.
