Born in Greenville to the late William Lewis Vaughan and Minnie Evelina Sexton Vaughan.
Ruby was baptized in Tremont Avenue Church of God and continued to attend and serve the church for over 90 years. She taught the same ladies adult Sunday School class faithfully for 50 years.
