R.A. Blevins, 83, died January 24 at his home at Hogue. He was a good citizen and was righteous in his beliefs. He leaves many friends to whom his passing is an irreparable loss. Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Balzora Dick and Mrs. Rosetta Hall of King Bee, Mrs. Belle Dick of Mt. Zion, and Mary and Sarah Blevins of Hogue; five sons, Andrew of Ohio, John A. of Clifty, Willie of Holton, Kansas, Columbus of Hogue, and Archilles of King Bee; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Jan. 26 at Shady Grove, the Rev. Stanley Waters officiating. Interment was in the adjoining cemetery.
