--During the thunder storm Sunday afternoon, Mrs. J. Jarrett, who has been very feeble for a number of years, suddenly collapsed, and when the family reached her side it was found that life was extinct. Probably the excitement of the storm interfered with her heart action and caused the visitation of death.
The funeral was held from the M.E. church Tuesday afternoon and was quite largely attended by sympathizing relatives and friends, Rev. C. M. Keach, of South Alma conducted the services.
Viola Schoolcraft was born in Hartiet, Franklin co., N. Y., Nov. 23, 1861, and came to Wisconsin with her parents in 1865. She was married to John Jarrett in 1879 and died Sept. 11, 1910, at 5 o'clock p.m. she leaves to mourn their sad loss a husband and five sons, an aged mother, two sisters, Mrs. Eunice Irish of Alma Center and Mrs. Phoebe Hopkins of this place, and one brother, Edwin of Washington. all of the five sons were present at the funeral, one son died in infancy.
