Merrillan, Wis., Dec. 14, 1903-- C. W. Polmateer died at his home near Trow's mill on Dec, 8, aged 76 years, 8 months and 18 days. He has been if feeble health for some time, and the cause of his death being inflammatory rheumatism. For a number of years he was engaged in mill work, and by his good nature and uprightness made a friend of every acquaintance. He will be sadly missed in the home where he is survived by a wife and adopted daughter. six grown children also survive him. The funeral occurred from the M. E. church Thursday, conducted by Rev. Smith.
