Richard C. Ellis, age 92, died Friday, August 24, 1990.
He was a 66 year resident of Austin and a member of Littlevine Primitive Baptist Church. He was in the U. S. Navy and a veteran of World War I. Mr. Ellis started Ellis' Garage in 1925, and later co-owned and operated Ellis & Salazer Garage and Body Shop until his retirement in 1963.
Funeral services will be Monday at 3:00 PM in the Colonial Chapel at Cook-Walden Funeral Home with Elder Hugh Montgomery and Elder Bruce Crawford officiating.Interment will be in Austin Memorial Park.
Mr. Ellis is survived by a daughter, Doris (Ellis) Miller and a daughter & son-in-law Pat and Mervyn Krause of Austin, granddaughters, Sherrie Wegner and Lynn Rogers, grandsons, David, Steve and Paul Miller, Rick, Terry, Kevin and Gary Krause; 14 great grandchildren, a sister Mrs. Wes Cox of Leander; brother; Silas Ellis of Amarillo; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Anita (Schroeder) Ellis.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to rhe Littlevine Primitive Baptist Church.
