PIONEER WOMAN DIES HERE

Miss Sarah Elizabeth Hall, 79, resident of Napa for eight years, died yesterday following a long illness as the result of a fractured hip in 1929.

She was a native of Cloverdale, where her parents, the late David and America Hall, settled in the early fifties.

For many years she resided in Cloverdale on the old home place. She later went to San Francisco. During her life in Napa she has been under constant attention of a trained nurse, Mrs. Glazier.

The deceased is widely acquainted throughout the Napa Valley and in Sonoma county. She was well-known in San Francisco.

She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Emma F. Black, of Cloverdale, and two brothers, G. F. Hall of Napa and Frank S. Hall of Cloverdale; and four nephews.

The body will lie in state at the Treadway Chapel until noon Thursday, then will be taken to Cloverdale, where rites will be held at 2:30 p.m. from Gordons parlors. Interment will be in the family plot at the Cloverdale cemetery.
