RICHARD KENDALL HUGHES

Richard K. Hughes, fifty-seven of 39 Highland Street died at his home in Ashland yesterday after a long illness.

He was born in Ashland, a son of Lawrence and Gladys (Boynton) Hughes. He was a World War II veteran. He was head of the electricians' department of L.W. Packard Company, where he had worked for 28 years. He was a member of St. Mark Episcopal Church.

Family members include his wife, Margot (Weigand) Hughes of Ashland; two sons, Kendall Hughes of Hooksett and Steven Hughes of Ashland; a daughter Mrs. Rosemarie McNamara of Ashland; seven grandchildren; four brothers, Wayne Hughes of Ashland, Lawrence Hughes of Penacook, Ronald of Warner and Bernard Hughes of Bridgewater; two sisters, Mrs. Charlotte Kelleher of Maynard, Massachusetts and Mrs. Kathleen Cilley of Ashland; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Services: The funeral was held in St. Mark Episcopal Church. Burial was in in Green Grove Cemetery. >The Union Leader, February 22, 1986.
