Arline Luella Lauritzen, 87, of St. Charles and formerly of Winfield, died Sunday, Sept. 15, 2002, at Charlevoix Healthcare and Rehab Center in St. Charles. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18, at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield. The Rev. David Lloyd will officiate. Burial will be at St. Charles Memorial Gardens in St. Charles. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield. Mrs. Lauritzen was born Feb. 16, 1915, in St. Charles to George and Lucille Belle Jamieson Bacon. She was married to John William Lauritzen on Nov. 14, 1932, in St. Charles. He preceded her in death April 28, 1988. Survivors include one son, Edward Lauritzen; one daughter, Bernice Pickell; six grandchildren, Robert Elsten, Gary Brandt, Janice Tainter, Michael Brandt, Sharon Placatka and Martha Mintner; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and one sister.
