A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she retired in 1999 from Wilsonart following 20 years of service and formerly worked at Avondale Mfg Co. She was a veteran of the US Army.
She was the daughter of the late Hampton Monroe Moore and Mable Florence Taylor Moore. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Irene Ballard.
Surviving are her sister, Doris Elaine Warren (Fred) of Columbia, SC; brother-in-law, Rex Ballard of Asheville; nephew, Russ Warren and nieces, Marcia McIntosh (Ed) and their children and Rexann Ballard (Randy).
Funeral services will be held at 10 AM Saturday, May 7, 2016 in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Noe McHone and Ginger Hicks officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hills Cemetery.
