Durwood W. Dunlap, age 85, of Applegate, passed away Saturday, April 13, 2013 at his home.Durwood was born November 1, 1927 in Port Huron, Michigan to the late William and Nellie (McLeod) Dunlap.He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.He is survived by one sister, Donna (Al) Kota, of Kimball Township. Special nephew, David Hartwick and family as well as several nieces and nephews, Several great nieces and nephews. Several great great nieces and nephews.Durwood was preceded in death by his parents; six sisters: Marion Perry, Grace Horak, Janet Spencer, Betty Gallager, Ruth Beadle, and Faye Hartwick; two brothers: Bob Dunlap, and Marshall Dunlap. Graveside memorial service will be Saturday, April 27, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. held at the Downing Cemetery, in Deckerville. Military Rites will be by the Sandusky V.F.W. #2945. Burial will be in Downing Cemetery, Deckerville, Michigan.
