Coal Creek Township native.

Died in the Simon Cancer Center/IU Hospital.

Son of Cliston and Frances Sanders Allen.
He married Jo Ann Patton August 16, 1964 in New Richmond United Methodist Church. She survives.
Also surviving are sons Jeff (Rhonda) and Joseph (Trish) Allen; brother Edward (Marilyn) Allen; Five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; special Uncle Erval Tansel; many nieces, nephews.

1964 graduate of Coal Creek Central High School, where he was active in baseball and basketball.

Retired as a supervisor in the Inspection Dept. for Alcoa after 33 years. He became a licensed Realtor and was involved in real estate the past 15 years, most recently with FC Tucker.

He drove a stock car at Henry’s Speedway in Boswell with his Alcoa friends. Jim enjoyed all sports and followed Purdue, The Pacers, Colts and Indy Car. He was a family man and proud supporter of his grandchildren.

Service 11am Monday May 9, at Family and Friends Funeral Home of Wingate with Pastor Mike Parks officiating. Visitation 3-7pm Sunday.
