Barbara Jean Cochran, 69 of Newbern, Tennessee died on Tuesday, May 3, 2016, at Tennova Healthcare-Dyersburg Regional in Dyersburg, Tennessee.

Born Wednesday, January 1, 1947 in Chester County, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Aude Richard "A. R." Creasy and the late Mallie Mae Frix Cleary.

She was a retired beautician and former bus driver for the Dyer County School System.

Funeral services for Mrs. Cochran will be 3:30 PM on Friday, May 6, 2016 in the Johnson Chapel of Shackelford Funeral Home in Henderson, Tennessee. Interment will follow in Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery in Beech Bluff, Tennessee. Visitation will be Thursday, May 5, 2016 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home in Newbern, Tennessee and on Friday, May 6, 2016 from 1:00 PM until service time at the Johnson Chapel of Shackelford Funeral Home in Henderson, Tennessee.

She leaves to cherish her memory, two sons, Michael Cochran of Trimble, Tennessee and Robin Cochran of Newbern, Tennessee; one daughter, Tammy Kizer of Brownsville, Tennessee; three brothers, Lewis F. Guinn of Savannah, Tennessee, Jerry H. Guinn and S. Wayne Creasy both of Henderson, Tennessee; two sisters, Martha A. Casey of Santa Rosa, Florida and Jayne C. Wilkerson of Memphis, Tennessee; eight grandchildren, Lauren Hallum, Lyndsay Kizer, Rein Cochran, Taylor Cochran, Kinleigh Cochran, Paxton Cochran, Preston Cochran and Kason Ables; five great-grandchildren and one great God-daughter.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Larry M. Cochran; a daughter, Kimberly Anna Jones, one brother, Franklin F. Guinn and two sisters, Catherine M. Phelps and Juanita L. Barnes.
