THOMPSON, HUBERT LEVI, 79, of Maryville died at 11:17 a.m. Friday, May 23, at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a member of Pilgrim Holiness Church in Charleston, W. Va. He was a retired miner after 23 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Katherine Thompson; sister, Mildred Bell; brothers, Robert, Delbert and Alfred Thompson.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Tina Reba Thompson; sons and daughters-in-law, Harold and Deloris Thompson of Maryville, Jimmy and Sandy Thompson of Illinois, Clarence and Tammy Thompson of Maryville, Billy and Georgianna Thompson of Maryville; 15 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Herbert Thompson of Springfork, W. Va.; sisters, Gladys Proctor of Charleston, W. Va., and Mary McCormick, Tad, W. Va.

The funeral service will be at 8 p.m. today at Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary with the Rev. Fred Cook and the Rev. Melvin Lonas officiating. The family and friends will assemble at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Grandview Cemetery for the interment. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today at Smith Mortuary.
