Emory A. Duffield of Gassaway died at a hospital here this morning following an operation for appendicitis. He was 35 years old, a carpenter by trade.
Mrs. Duffield was at his bedside when death came. The body was taken to Gassaway over the Coal & Coke railroad this afternoon, and interment will be made in the family burying ground there Thursday.
