Murwin Dean (Dutch) Ainsworth was born September 11, 1922 in Unionville, Michigan to Leo and Anna Ainsworth. He attended Unionville schools and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He farmed in the Unionville area most of his working life.

He married Clarene Thomas on July 6, 1944 and they became the parents of eight children. Dutch was a member of the Unionville Moravian Church where he served in various capacities, and served on the Unionville School Board for many years. Dutch was an avid fisherman and a tinkerer, able to fix everything we needed. He also loved playing cards, especially euchre. After a prolonged period of decline he walked into the open arms of his Savior on March 1 at the age of 91 years, 5 months, and 18 days.

He is survived by Clarene, his wife of 69½ years; and children Manila (William) Sanders, Dale (Tim) Balzer, Jackie (Darryl) Bell, Virginia (Jack) Dinsmore, Shirley (Dean) Roller, Leo (Roxanne) Ainsworth, Nancy (Brad) Webster, and daughter-in-law Wendy Ainsworth. He left 18 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Donald Ainsworth; sisters, Marion Pomeroy, Mable Hoffman, Elaine Kerr and Dorothy Bissonet; son Murray, and great grandsons Mathew Sanders, Kirk Dembowske and Paul Bell.

A Memorial Service will be held March 5, 2014 at the Unionville Moravian Church in Unionville, Michigan. Rev. Dr. Darryl Bell and Rev. Dr. Bill Sanders will officiate, with a luncheon following. Arrangements with Cremation Society of Mid Michigan.
