George Washington Call was born in North Carolina in 1893. He was the son of Lindolph Call and Amelia Estelle Clark.

He moved to Illinois and married Bernice Pearl Gager on October 21, 1921 in Moline Illinois.
He worked at the Rock Island lines. When the Silvis Illinois switch yards were selling old rail road cars he bought one.The car was placed in the Silvis woods where electricity and propane were added. He and his wife Bernice raised 10 children in that Pullman sleeper car.
He died on October 15, 1977 at the age of 84.
Bernice was born in 1901 and died in 1985 in Illinois
