MRS VIOLA EIS, 61, of Montpelier Dies After Long Illness
Mrs Viola Lestella Eis, a resident of Montpelier, died at 5 a.m. today at the home of her brother-in-law, A.F. Stigers, 2033 Dixwell Street, following a lingering illness.
She was born in Muscatine county, Jan. 24, 1880, and was educated in the schools there. She married William H Eis, Feb 16, 1898, in Muscatine and the couple had lived in Montpelier for 25 years. Mrs Eis was of Baptist faith.
Surviving are her husband and three brothers, Virgil Cooper of Davenport, John P Cooper of Blue Grass and Charles Cooper of Idaho. Two sisters, Mrs Mamie Stigers and Mrs Arabella Bohnsack preceded her in death this year and a son died in infancy.
Funeral services will be held at Hill & Fredericks mortuary at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday with burial in Blue Grass cemetery.
