Ms. Bolton was born on March 2, 1927 in Maury County to Cecil Bell and Zula Mae Nolan “Nance”. Icy Bell was a member of Hall’s Chapel Church of Christ. Her favorite pastime was being a loving grandmother to her 8 grandchildren and her 12 great grand children. She loved to take care of her family by cooking for them every Sunday. She enjoyed gardening and tending to her flowers.
The family will receive friends on Thursday April 12, 2018 from 12-2pm at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia. The service will be held following visitation at 2pm. Burial will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens. Peter Siserson will officiate the service.
Icy Bell is survived by her three daughters; Barbara (James) Watkins, Cathy (Allen) Armstrong, and Linda (Sidney) Howell. She is also survived by her 8 grandchildren and her 12 great grandchildren all from Mt. Pleasant. She was preceded in death by her husband Hershel Bolton of 63 years, and one grandson Terry Armstrong.
