Alpha Jean Basham, 76 of Bowling Green, KY died Friday April 29, 2016. She retired from Holley Carburetor after 48 years of service. She was a member of First Christian Church of Bowling Green. She was preceded in death by her parents, Kyle and Opal Runner, and a brother, Sherman.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Raleigh Basham also of Bowling Green.
One daughter, Lana Campbell; three sons: Greg, (Lisa), Steven (Angie) and Kerry, all of Bowling Green; three brothers: Amos (Joan), David (Barbara), and Michael (Rita) Runner; and two sisters Marcia Westbrook (Bobby) and Linda Cherry (Dale) all of Bowling Green.
Six Grandchildren: Justin (Brooke), Jake (Meghan), Payton, Sarah, Carly and Lauren Basham. One Great Grandchild, Colt.
Visitation will be Monday from 4 to 8 pm, with Eastern Star Service at 7 pm, at JC Kirby & Son Broadway Chapel. Visitation will resume Tuesday at 10 am with the funeral service to follow at 2 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
Arrangements have been entrusted to JC Kirby & Son Broadway Chapel.
