ADA BELLE SWOFFORD, 84, of Carrollton, died Sunday in Owensboro. She was a homemaker and a member of the English Baptist Church, Carroll County.
Survivors include a daughter, Ruth Ann Dilk of Owensboro; sons, Gayle Swofford of Key West, Fla., and James William Swofford of Erlanger; a brother, Ben Smith of Carrollton; sisters, Mary Meeks of Carrollton and Bertha Oaks of Eminence; 17 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home, Carrollton. Visitation will be there from 5 to 9 tonight. Burial will be in English Cemetery, Carroll County.

Mrs. Ada Belle Swofford, 84, formerly of 321 Industrial Drive, Owensboro, died Sunday, Aug. 25, 1991, at Medco Center of Owensboro. She was born in Carrollton and was a member of English (Ky.) Baptist Church.
Her husband, John Swofford, died in 1983.
Survivors include two sons, Gayle Swofford of Key West, Fla., and James William Swofford of Erlanger; a daughter, Ruth Ann Dilk of Owensboro; 17 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ben Smith of Carrollton and John Smith of La Grange; and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Meeks of Carrollton and Mrs. Bertha Oaks of Eminence.
Services will be held at Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home, Carrollton.
Burial in English Cemetery. James H. Davis Funeral Home, Owensboro, is in charge of local arrangements.
