She was born Jan. 7, 1910, in Randolph County, Ala., to Midgeman Buchman Traylor and Carrie Gosden Traylor. Her family moved to Sand Mountain in about 1916 and she spent the rest of her life living near the Tenbroeck community.
She married Carl Horace Dalrymple in 1927. They had five children.
"Miss Flossie," as she was affectionately known, was a homemaker and mother. She also worked as lunchroom cook at Geraldine High School, where she retired after 20 years. She was a member of Tenbroeck Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Horace; 14 brothers and sisters; three children, Lamer Dalrymple, Rhoal Dalrymple, Donna Mitchell; and one grandson, Donnie Dalrymple.
She is survived by her two sons, Tean (Connie) Dalrymple of Chattanooga and Mickey (Carol) Dalrymple of Columbus, Miss.; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. CDT Sunday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Hoyt Gilbert officiating.
Burial in Beulah Cemetery, Fyffe.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and family friends.
Memorials may be made to Tenbroeck Baptist Church.
