VASSALBORO, Maine—Lucille C. McPherson, of Vassalboro, Maine passed away peacefully at home following a brief illness, on Thursday, April 28, 2016, with her family by her side. She was born in China, Maine on Sept. 4, 1929, the daughter of the late Cecil and Helen Wentworth. She attended China Schools, and graduated from Erskine Academy.
Lucille married Robert McPherson on Nov. 19, 1949. The couple was married for 58 years before his passing in 2008. She was a homemaker as well as Bob's partner on the family farm.
She loved taking pictures, horses, reading, watching westerns, and especially enjoyed being with her family.
Besides her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by her sister, Alice.
Lucille will be sadly missed by her son, Steven and his wife, Sharon, and their children, Melissa (Ed), and Nicholas (Natasha), and their families; her son, Conrad and his wife, Terri, and their son, James (Brittany), and their family; her sister, Marian Poulin; her sisters-in-law, Faye and Mary (Bob); many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and her very good friend, Carleen.
The family would like to thank all of those who helped make Lucille's passing a peaceful journey.
