Michael Joseph Gabour III, 88,of Texarkana, Texas, died Saturday, October 14,2006, at his home. Mr. Gabour was born December 22,1917, in Texarkana. He was owner of Gabour Gulf Station, a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and a World War II Army veteran. Survivors include his wife, Billie Gabour of Texarkana; one daughter and son-in-law, Mary Jane and Richard Flowers of West Memphis, Ark., one son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Helen Gabour of Port Douglas, Queenlands, Australia; one sister, Chris Gabour of Texarkana; one brother, James A. Gabour of Alexandria, La.; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; five stepchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. Mass will be 11 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Monsignor Gerald Priest officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, under direction of East Funeral Home, Downtown. Visitation will be 6-7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Rosary will be 7 p.m. today at East Memorial Chapel. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Texarkana or Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
