Diana was the middle child of Chester and Ruth Barton. She was born and raised in Driggs, ID and graduated from Teton High School. Diana went on to get her cosmetology degree from Excelsis Beauty College in Idaho Falls, ID.
While in high school she met her sweetheart, Byron “Bike” Alan Egbert. They were married February 5, 1966. Byron and Diana were blessed with two wonderful sons. Diana's red hair and fiery temperament earned her the nickname “Red”.
Family always came first with Diana, a trait she passed on to her sons. She always took care of everyone else before herself, especially the many “stray” friends of her boys.
In 2002 Diana suffered a stroke while in surgery having a brain tumor removed. Throughout the many trials and tribulations she had, no one ever heard her complain or feel sorry for herself.
Diana is survived by her husband of 50 years, Byron “Bike” Egbert; her sons: Clayton (Stephanie) Egbert and Nathan (Heather) Egbert; two sisters: Juanita (LeRoy) Weston, and Marilyn (Zane) Larson; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Chester Barton and Ruth Barton Ballard.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. May 4, 2016 in Tetonia Idaho at Cache Clawson Cemetery. The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Tetonia LDS Church.
