Richard E. “Rich” Carpio, 53, passed away unexpectedly at home Thursday, April 28, 2016.
Survived by his daughter, Katelyn E. Carpio; father, Gene Carpio; and sister, Debby Carpio. Preceded in death by his mother, Norma Carpio. Rich graduated from East High School and received a B.S. in accounting at Ashford University. He was a meatcutter for King Soopers for over 12 years, was a member of First Presbyterian Church’s praise group called “Tuned In” and participated in a number of local musicals including “Fiddler On The Roof.” Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. Reception for friends and family to be held 7 p.m. Thursday, and memorial service, 1 p.m. Friday, May 6, 2016, both at First Presbyterian Church, 220 W. 10th St. In lieu of food and flowers, memorials may be made to Sangre de Cristo Hospice through the funeral home.
