Mrs. C.C. Adams Rites Held Monday
Funeral services for Mrs. C.C. Adams, 87, who died suddenly Saturday, Oct. 13th at her residence, were held at 11:00 a.m. Monday at the Sandersville Christian Church with the Rev.E.G. Orahood, minister emeritus, officiating. the Rev. James W. Franklin, pastor of Cornelia First Baptist Church, and a former pastor of Ocilla First Baptist Church assisted the Rev. E.G. Orahood. Burial was in Milledgeville City cemetery.
Mrs. Adams was born in Baldwin County, Sept. 5, 1875 and was the former Miss Mary Eudora Adams, the daughter of Benjamin Blake Adams and Eudora Weight Adams. She was a member of the Sandersville Christian Church. She had taught school for many years and was the widow of Clinton Carlos Adams.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. J.H. Burnham of Washington, D.C., Mrs. Lyman Hodges of Sandersville, Mrs. Damon Little of Ocilla, and Mrs. W.E. Hickson of Danville, Va.; a sister, Mrs. Emily Hattaway of Fitzgerald; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Active pallbearers were Steve Cox, J.D. Garner, Francis Fowler, Herman Garrett, Billy Summerlin and Mack Tucker.
Lang's Chapel was in charge.
