Gerald F. O'Connor
"Frank"
Age 91, passed away Saturday, April 6, 2002. He was born in Elwood and was a lifetime Jackson Township farmer.
He also drove an Elwood school bus for 25 years.
His wit and wisdom was enjoyed by all that knew him.
He was a beautiful soul and will be deeply missed.
He was a devoted father and husband who will live on forever within his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Mary (Mostyn); his brothers, John, Jim, Leo and Joe (in infancy); his sister, Peg Murphy; his sister-in-law, Helen O'Connor; brothers-in-law, Fran Reedy, Tom Murphy and Joe Rademacher.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, June (Morgan) and five children, Maureen (George) Hicks, Dennis, Debbie (Steve) Brockman, Tom (Patti) and Terry.
And his five grandchildren, Paul, Mike and Lisa Hicks, Kimberly Brockman and Tommy O'Connor.
Also by his sister, Kathryn Rademacher and sisters-in-law, Mary Ellen and Lorrayne O'Connor; his brother-in-law, LaVern J. Morgan; and many nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends Tuesday, April 9, 2002 at Fred C. Dames Funeral Home from 8:30 AM until 10:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian burial at the Cathedral of St. Raymond at 11:00 AM. Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
