WILLIAM NORTH
GRIDLEY (E-R) - Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Gridley-Block Funeral Chapel for William H. “Gap” North, 82, who died Monday at his Gridley home.
He was born Feb. 3, 1902, in Newton County, Mo., and had lived in the Gridley-Biggs area for the past 75 years.
North was a retired superintendent with the Rice Growers Association in Biggs.
He was a member of the Biggs Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include a son, Alvin of Gardena; two daughters, Dorothy Newman of Terrebonne, Ore., and Juanita Sanner of Gridley; a brother, Albert of Gridley; three sisters, Mary Mortin of Gridley and Lynn and Lois Trent, both of Biggs; 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Bishop Frank Cook of the Gridley Third Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will preside at the funeral.
Burial will be in the Gridley-Biggs Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral chapel.
Donations may be made to the American Lung Association in care of the funeral home.
