Son of William Blount Doss and Sarah Elizabeth Hardiman. He married Emma Ridener 6 Aug 1902. They had six children. In August 1917, after Emma's death he was married to Willie Medley Russell. They had one son. By 1924 he and Willie had parted and he had moved with his children by Emma from Tenn. to South Jefferson County KY and was working in repair shop for L&N Railroad. In November1927 he then married Elizabeth Orlean McCorstin.
