Betty Katherine Wallech, 72, of 13403 Resh Road in Hagers-town, died Friday, Feb. 16, 2007, at Julia Manor Health Care Center.
Born Jan. 11, 1935, in Luray, Va., she was the daughter of the late Marvin T. Sours and Mildred F. McMichael Sours.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Church of God.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Emmert Bertram Wallech Jr.; four daughters, Cheryl A. Giffin of Keedysville, Pamela S. Wallech of New Tazewell, Tenn., Lois M. Romack of Hagers-town, and Jamie N. Kazor of Chambersburg, Pa.; three sons, Douglas E. Wallech of Hagers-town, Emmert B. Wallech III of Maugansville, and Jeffery L. Wallech of Mercersburg, Pa.; two sisters, Shirley Moore of Gaffney, S.C., and Nancy Smoke of Winchester, Va.; two brothers, Melvin Sours of Hagerstown, and William Sours of Funkstown; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother and one granddaughter.
Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Donald Edwin Thompson Funeral Home, Clear Spring. The Rev. David Moore will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
