THOMAS “TOM” PRINCE, age 90, a resident of Irving, Texas, died April 27, 2016 at home. Born June 9, 1925 at home in Charlie, Texas, on the Linville Ranch in Clay County. After his father’s death, the family moved to Arlington, Texas. He graduated from Arlington High School in 1942 and worked at the Southern Ornamental Iron Works in Arlington until he moved to Houston to work with Houston Iron & Steel. He Joined the Ironworkers Local #84 for some 20 years, served as president of Ironworkers Local #481 in Dallas, then moved to the Plumbers/Steamfitters Local #100 for 20 years. He married on June 12, 1948. He served in the military (occupation troops) in Germany under Dwight D. Eisenhower (emblem was the flaming sword).

Preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include wife, Billie; son, Thomas Prince and wife Tracy; daughter, Pamela Harpster and husband David; grandchildren, Brandi Erwin, Kelly Powers, Christopher Mathews, Chad Mathews; great grandchildren, Braden, McKenna, Madelyn, Andrew; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 3-5 p.m. on Sunday, May 2 at Donnelly’s Colonial Funeral Home, 606 West Airport Freeway, Irving, Texas 75062. Service XX. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday at Beltline Church of Christ in Irving. Don Hatch will be officiating. Burial to follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens, 1413 East Irving Boulevard, Irving, Texas 75060.
