Patricia "Pat" (Becker) Adelgren, age 45, of Marion NC., passed away Sunday, January 27, 2013 at John F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center in Asheville.
Born in Goodland, Kansas , Sherman County, on October 25, 1967, she was the daughter of Eugene and La Vaughn Becker. As a CNA in Home Health Care in Kansas & Pennsylvania, Pat was dearly loved by the seniors that were under her care. Known for her compassionate heart, Pat was also known as a good neighbor, always willing to serve those in need. She was godly woman who sought to love the Lord Jesus Christ with all her heart, mind and soul and strength, and was an avid student of the Word. At the time of her death, Pat and her husband attended Glenwood Baptist Church. Having had no children of her own, Pat was a champion of all children and was a good role model to her nieces and nephews who were always blessed with thier "Aunt Pat". Pat was a great organizer and gardener and, as her husband said, " Every little house we had became a beautiful home because of Pat's particular gifts". Preceding her in death is a sister, Janet Kay Becker who passed away in 2012.
She is survived by, in addition to her parents, her husband, Eric Adelgren of the home; one brother, Daryl Becker of Junction City, CO; one sister, Lona Becker Brown and her husband, Shawn of Hays, Kansas and a total of six nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held thursday, January 31, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Westmoreland Funeral Home (Marion, NC.) with Revs. Joel McDaniel and Paul Adelgren officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.
