Dolores M. Beck Tompkins was born April 7, 1927 in Niles Center, IL to Daniel and Hilda (nee Baumann) Donavon. She died April 23, 2016 at Village Green of East Dundee.
Our family has lost the first person to hold us and love us unconditionally. She taught us how to love, be a good parent, find good in everyone and to be strong. Dolores had a home day care for over 20 years. She enjoyed gardening, animals, needle point, dancing, family parties. She was a long time member of the VFW Women’s Auxiliary and the Women’s order of the Free Masons.
Dolores is survived by her children Dolores (Roosevelt) Johnson, Judy Lewis, Janet (John) Pabian, Edward Beck, Jr., Kathy (Stan) Hickrod, Howard Beck, Mary Hill, Joe (Khristy) Beck and Terry (Kevin) Huber; her 15 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren and by her sister Pat (Donald) Happ.
Dolores is preceded in death by her husbands Edward Beck and Donald Tompkins; her daughters Linda (late George) Kercheval and Janet Ann Beck and by her parents.
Interment All Saint Cemetery.
