Mrs. Ella H Woodworth, beloved old resident of Sonoma where she was born 76 years ago passed away Sunday after a prolonged illnss. She was the mother of Reuben MacD Woodworth, Sonoma businessman, and sister of Mrs. E Hope Wright of Sonoma, Mrs. Natalia Davis of San Francisco, and Mrs. Claire Hope Hyde of Berkeley.

A member of the pioneer Hope family, she married into another prominent California family, the Woodworths of Stony Point. As Mrs. Samuel Woodworth, she and her husband were well known throughout Sonoma county and took an active part in community affairs. They later returned to make old Sonoma their home and here Mr. Woodworth passed away many years ago. They had the one son who has been the devoted companion of his mother and did everything in his power to make her declining years cheerful and comfortable.
