Mrs. Elizabeth "Bette" Corrill, 77, of Dublin House, Middletown, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2001, at 4:45 a.m. at Middletown Regional Hospital where she had been a patient since May 17. She was born on Oct. 3, 1923, in Charter Oak, Iowa, and had lived in Ohio for 50 years. She was employed as a department manager at Hills Department Store for 20 years, retiring in 1986. Mrs. Corrill was a member of Holy Family Parish and was a volunteer at the St. John's Bingo. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Gertrude (Schmidtz) Staley; a son, James Michael Corrill in 1993; a brother, Jim Staley; and a sister, Monica Keuhl. She is survived by six sons, John "Pat" Corrill, and Paul Corrill, and his wife, Gail, all of Middletown, Bradley Corrill of Cincinnati, Eric Corrilll of Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Bill Corrill, and his wife, Debbie, and Tom Corrill, all of Middletown; three daughters, Kathleen "Kate" Warren of Norwalk, Ohio, Monica F. McIntosh of Miamisburg and Therese Mowery, and husband, Dennis, of Middletown; a daughter-in-law, Karen Corrill of Middletown; 20 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Helen Lovell, and husband, Paul, of Logan, Iowa; and many, many, many friends.
ARRANGEMENTS: There will be no visitation. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, June 7, at St. John's Chapel of Holy Family Parish, 1405 First Ave., Middletown, with Father John Civille as celebrant.
MEMORIALS: Contributions in Mrs. Corrill's memory may be made to Holy Family Parish, 201 Clark St., Middletown 45042. Arrangements are by Herr-Riggs Funeral Home, 210 S. Main St., Middletown.
